Charles J. "Chuck" Osuchowski

Charles J. “Chuck” Osuchowski, 38, passed away after a four year battle with a brain tumor, on Friday, March 31, 2017. Born in Glens Falls, New York on June 17, 1978, he was the son of Charles and Linda Osuchowski, Jr. Chuck grew up in Glens Falls, and graduated from Saratoga Central Catholic High School- both areas that he always considered home. He was also a graduate of Clark University in Worchester, MA. For the last 15 years he has called Ballston Spa home, and with his wife, has raised six children in this wonderful community.

Chuck worked as service coordinator for people with disabilities for the last 15 years- most recently for Community Living and Advocacy Supports, Inc. (CLAS). He cherished the families he served and the coworkers he worked with, and considered them all family. He was also a member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #103 in Saratoga Springs, NY.

In his spare time he enjoyed taking walks with his wife, printmaking, writing poetry and short stories, woodworking, and anything technology related. But most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his children camping, taking hikes and picnics, attending numerous soccer games, swimming, and learning about history. His children were his pride and joy.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Nora and their children Asher, Zilah, Neviah, Noah, Nevin, and Nathan. He is also survived by his parents, Charles and Linda Osuchowski, his brothers Lonnie (Olga) and Anthony Osuchowski, and his in-laws Thomas and Diana Bisnett.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, April 3, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, April 2 from 4pm to 8pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Chuck may be made to Community Hospice or to Community Living and Advocacy Supports’ client funds.

I didn't really know Chuck, but I knew the family growing up, and my heart goes out. 38 is far too young... my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May the pain fade, but the memories and love remain ever strong.

Chuck you were always kind to me in high school. I remember thinking you had the coolest hair of anybody. More than that you were a person of strong character and a beautiful writer. You were a friend to all and made everyone better around you. I will sorely miss reading your Facebook posts and your funny and clever responses to mine. You will remain in my heart and mind forever. I know that your passing is not the end and that you are in heaven now with our Lord and savior and now spreading your joy up there. Goodbye for now Chuck. You are truly loved and will be sorely missed..

For the short time I met you Chuck, I enjoyed our conversation and had every intention of giving you a haircut as my gift. Thank you for your giving nature helping those with disabilities and dedicating part of your life to the services you provided to the community. You must have been the hope that disabled individuals needed in their life. I'm sure you inspired others to give without receiving anything in return except happiness, compassion and gratitude for giving your time and effort helping others. It would have been nice to talk again but you have been called from God to come home.
Well wishes

My thoughts and prayers to Nora, his children, family and friends. Although I didn't know Chuck for a long period of time his kindness, friendliness, humor and gentle nature made it seem as if I'd known him for years. I feel blessed that God gave me the opportunity to be touched by his kind spirit and his amazing way of looking at the world. I believe that Chuck had a special gift that touched the lives of all those he encountered. His life, his work, truly made a difference to all that knew him. I am happy to say I am one of them.
