Dana A. Deming

Dana A. Deming, 91, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Home of the Good Shepherd, surrounded by his family. Born on February 28, 1926 in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Wesley and Anna Deming.

After graduating from Draper High School, he enrolled in the apprentice program at General Electric, Co. Dana worked for GE for 39 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed outdoor activities including snowmobiling, skiing, boating and hunting. Dana and his wife Lillian spent their summers at Penn Heights Beach Club on Sacandaga Lake and winters at their camp on Piseco Lake. They treasured the times they spent there with family and friends.

Dana was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years Lillian. He is survived by their children Sally Jenkins, Kenneth Deming (Shannon), and Lynn Deming; grandchildren Stephen, Nathan, David, Justin, Meghan, Haileigh, Grace, Amanda and Brandon; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Friday, December 15 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Sweetman Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 14 from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
