David C. Goldfoot


David C. Goldfoot 85, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Born in Schenectady, NY on February 20, 1931, he was the son of Chester and Frances Goldfoot. He proudly served in the US Marine Corp.

David and his wife Ramona owned and operated The Red Mill Tavern and Motel in Round Lake for many years. After retiring, they would take their daily ride on his Harley, to have lunch at The Burger Den in Cambridge. His greatest joy was his grandchildren who affectionately called him “Dude”.

He was a life member of The Old Saratoga Muzzle Loading Club and the Round Lake Fire Department.

He was predeceased by his son James, and his sister Dorothy Chamberlin.

David is survived by his wife of 67 years Ramona; his daughters Rhonda Agnew (Walter) of Round Lake, Laura Goldfoot of Malta, and Roxanne Sharp (Jim) of Clifton Park; three grandchildren James Agnew, Jessica Worobey and Kelly Volpe; four great grandchildren Hunter, Dylan, Jude and Annie; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday, January 14 at the Round Lake United Methodist Church, 34 George Avenue, Round Lake. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 13 from 5pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gateway House of Peace for the loving care and compassion given to David.
