Emilio Martone


Emilio “Bill” Martone, 79, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at home with his wife of 40 years by his side. Born in Saratoga Springs on September 10, 1937, he was the son of Louis and Josephine Martone.

Bill was a cook at D’Andreas, Tradewinds, and Hidden Valley Restaurants. He later retired from Skidmore College where he worked in Food Service. Bill was a member of the Ballston Center Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church for 28 years and served as head usher for 25 years.

Bill is survived by his wife Judith; children David Martone (Michelle Nichols) of Clark Mills and JoAnn Pepper (Mark) of Greenfield Center; grandchildren Dylan, Steven, Johnathan, Christopher, and Cody; sister Lois Morris of Saratoga Springs; sister in law Nancy Bedard (Jim) of Schenectady; his church grandchildren Carley, Brenna and Declan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday, March 2 at the Ballston Center Association Reformed Presbyterian Church, 58 Charlton Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020. Burial will follow in Middle Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday March 1 from 4pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Ballston Center ARP Church, City Mission of Schenectady or Community Hospice.
