Linda Ann Wright

Linda Ann Wright, 65, of Middle Grove, New York passed away on Sunday, July 9 at her home. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on February 3, 1952, Linda was the daughter of the late Shirley and James Lennie.

Linda was a warm, selfless, nurturing person to her family and friends. She was the most giving person one could ever hope to know. She grew up in Halfmoon, New York with her mother and four younger brothers. She and her mother Shirley were as close as a mother and daughter could be, and her love for her brothers was fierce and deep.

In 1974 she married the love of her life Don, and together they raised four children in Middle Grove, New York. When her boys were young, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family on her boat at Lake George. She could often be found cheering passionately at her children’s sporting events.

After growing up with brothers and raising sons, Linda was blessed with her daughter Ashley, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy. In the final decade of her life, she loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

It is not possible to list all of Linda Wright’s talents and skills in these pages. She was a gifted and talented artist. She loved being in her art room painting, sculpting, making pottery, custom dolls, or handmade hats and clothing. She had a passion for show horses, and owned and operated a small family horse farm. Linda was a talented entrepreneur and successful small business owner. For two decades she owned and operated Total Image Salon on Geyser Road in Ballston Spa, and other salons and businesses in the area.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald W. Wright, and her brother John Proctor. Linda is survived by her sons Donald C. Wright (Lauren), Randy Wright (Allison), Jacob Wright (Christine); daughter Ashley Wright; granddaughters Alanna Wright, Ava Wright, Liza Jane Wright; grandsons Oscar Wright, Devin Wright, Jacob Wright, William Wright; brothers Steven Proctor (Helen), Wayne Proctor (Nancy), Ricky Proctor (Derrie), Keith Proctor; sister-in-law Vicki Proctor; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be missed dearly by anyone who had the good fortune of meeting her warm, beautiful soul.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 12 from 4pm to 6pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A memorial service will be held at 6pm, followed by a reception at the VFW, 68 E. North Street, Ballston Spa, New York 12020.

Alanna and I love you so much! You were the best mother-in-law to me and the best grandmother to Alanna! My life was so much better these past 20 years having you in it! You helped me raise Alanna and I will never forget that!! Seeing you out on your balcony every morning waving to me and chit chatting is something I will cherish forever... I still look up there every time I go outside expecting to see you :'( I could talk to you about anything and everything... you always gave the best advice! Knowing you are happy again with Dad, Mema and Johnny gives me some comfort! I know you will always watch over Alanna and guide her through life... she had such a special bond with you!! I will miss our girl talks we would have while you would trim my hair and I would color yours!! Your smile, your laugh, your love, your humor, your kindness, your giving heart... I will miss so much! I love you pretty lady... till we meet again! RIP!!!

Linda gave so much to so many who were blessed to have known her. It is such a loss that will take a long time to heal but a greater loss would have been never knowing Linda and Don and their loving family. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Wright family.

My fondest memory ( and there are many) is the great Halloween party of 1986! The time and effort that went into it makes it legendary to say the least! Linda was one of the funniest women I know. She could light up a room with her laughter, and in some of my darkest moments she was there for me to do just that. She got me through some tough times and I never forgot our conversations in her kitchen! The world has lost a beautiful soul..godspeed my friend!
