Robert L. Bogue

Robert L. Bogue, 94, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017. Born in Schenectady, NY on September 22, 1922, he was the son of Charles and Lela Bogue. Bob was the 1938 NYS Cross Country Champion.

He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II, completing 75 bombing missions as a machine gunner in a B-24. After the war, he worked at General Electric Co for 38 years, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Ballston Spa.

Bob was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed the family camp and treasured the time spent with his family.

He was predeceased by his brothers Alan, George, Richard, Charles and Ed, and his sister Jean. Bob is survived by his wife Marguerite; their children Aaron Bogue of Ballston Spa and Betsy Cull (Ronald) of Ballston Spa; grandchildren Melissa, Jessica, Michael and Stephen; great grandchildren Kyla and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday, May 25 at Christ Episcopal Church, West High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 24 from 5pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

Memorial contributions in memory of Bob may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or the American Cancer Society.

I'm so sorry for your loss, My sister and I can remember your Dad since we were little, I always would run in to him at Stewarts and he would be getting ice cream for your Mom and himself.
