Sandra M. Martin

Sandra M. Martin, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016. Born in Roxbury, NY on December 10, 1943, she was the daughter of Elsie Rockwell.

Sandra was a homemaker and floral designer. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed sewing and crafting of all kinds including tole painting, jewelry making, and designing with silk flowers.

She was predeceased by her mother, Elsie (Stevens) Rockwell, step-father Kenneth Rockwell Sr., two brothers, James Mattice and Kenneth Mattice, and great-granddaughter, Holly Maynard.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard W. Martin. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her daughters Quincey (Edward) Dudek and Beth (Steven) Martin, and son Richard S. (Sue) Martin; grandchildren, Shayne and Conor Dudek, Rhaya (Dustin) Maynard and Alexis Martin, and Christopher and Heather Martin; great-grandchildren, Kyle LaClair Jr. and Keagan Maynard. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley (Dick) Loucks, Ronda (Rick) Frazee, and Nancy (John) Rice, and younger brother, Ken (Sandi) Rockwell, Jr and sisters-in-law Dawn Mattice and Sue Mattice as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at the Grand Gorge Firehouse in Grand Gorge, NY on January 6, 2017 at 1:00pm with Rev. Dottie Morris officiating. At Sandra's request there will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
