Violet G. Romano

Violet G. Romano, 94, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017. She was born on July 4, 1922 in the Bronx, NY to Vincent and Anna Paradiso

Violet moved up from Florida to live near her daughter in 2001. She became a food demonstrator for Price Chopper in Clifton Park and then Malta. She enjoyed her job because it involved two of her favorite things: people and food!

Spending time with family and friends always brought a smile to her face. Her favorite pastimes were playing cards, dancing and BINGO. Every day you could find Violet on a long walk with her prayer ring in hand praying for countless others. She was a very spiritual person who loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who had the fortune to know her.

She was predeceased by her husband Stephen J. Romano, son Stephen J. Romano, Jr., and siblings Elvira Paradiso, Arthur Paradiso, Ida Marzo and Mario Paradiso.

Violet is survived by her daughter Lisa Burkhammer (Richard) of Ballston Lake; grandchildren Stephanie Burkhammer, Justin Romano, and Russell Romano (Dana); great grandchildren Julianna, Jack, Lane, Blake and Kayden; niece Bernadette, and nephews Vincent, Mark and Edward.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, May 10 at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, May 9 from 6pm to 8pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.

Memorial contributions in memory of Violet may be made to Our Lady of Grace Church.

Lisa, Rich, and Steph,
We are so very sorry for your loss. We remember the delight of your mother's company on Thanksgiving awhile back. She enjoyed a long and special life. We know how much you will miss her.
