Alfred J. Loya, Sr.

Alfred J. Loya, Sr., 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Cornwell, Vermont on April 21, 1940, he was the son of Thomas and Viola Loya.

Al owned and operated Al’s Garage and Bodyshop in Ballston Spa for over 40 years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed restoring classic and antique cars. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.

He was predeceased by his wife Sally, grandson Timothy, and sisters Beverly, Jeanette and Phyllis. Al is survived by his children Kimberly Truett, Alfred Loya, Jr.(Bunsong) Carol Phillips (John), Chad Loya (Jenny) and Heather Loya; grandchildren Tiffany, Kendra, Josalin, Dillon, Paige, and Tyler; great grandchildren Justin and Adalyn; brothers Edward, Richard, Arthur, Thomas, Jerry, Billy and Douglas; sisters Betty and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Al’s life from 5:30pm to 8pm on Tuesday, November 21 at VFW Post 358, 68 East North Street, Ballston Spa.
