Catherine Anne Barile

Catherine Anne Barile (Reynolds) was born into an Irish family in 1945 in the suburbs of Chicago. She had five siblings Helen, Liz, Michael, John, and Roger. Parents Jack and Eileen couldn’t have been prouder of their first born, Catherine.

Cathy excelled at all of her life’s work including managing her own mushroom farm, (Catherine’s Champignons), scrapbooking, and bringing laughter to others, but, more than anything, she excelled at being a devoted mother and wife.

A master at crossword puzzles with a voracious reading habit, for Cathy, the mind was an instrument of the Lord’s to be both utilized and sharpened.

Cathy was not only a humble and committed friend to those who loved her, but she also struggled to serve the unloved children of God who the world sought to reject.

Cathy joins her parents and three siblings in heaven, leaving on earth her loving husband Bob, five children Stacy, Jennifer, Emily, Josh, and Sarah, seven grandchildren, her bestie/sister Helen, brother Roger, and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine’s home, compassion, and laugh will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 28 from 6pm to 7pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A memorial service will follow at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
