Edith B. Older

Edith B. Older 87, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019. Born in Rensselaerville, NY on March 11, 1931, she was the daughter of Albert and Hazel Boice. She was a 1949 graduate of Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School, making her a proud forty-niner.

After raising her family, Edith worked for Universal Medical Instruments in Malta. She also worked at the Saratoga County Fair for many years. Edith enjoyed gardening and flowers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Edith was predeceased by her husband Francis, son Mark Older, parents Albert and Hazel Boice, and her siblings Robert, William and Joan Boice. She is survived by her children John Older (Kathie), James Older, Dale Older, Darrell Older (Vicky), Gary Older, Francis Older, Jr., Linda Older, Sharon Triola (Bill), Jeffrey Older (Lynne), Daniel Older (Tina), and Christine Wescott (Byron); daughter in law Cindy Older; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday, January 17 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Middle Grove Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 16 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Edith may be made to the charity of your choice.
