George A. LaRue, Sr.


George A. LaRue, Sr., 62, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021. He was born in Rhinebeck, NY on January 13, 1959 to George and Nancy LaRue.

George was a bus driver for Galway Schools for over twenty years, retiring in 2018. He was a member of the Rock City Falls Volunteer Fire Department and the Providence Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Captain of the Fire Police. George enjoyed hunting and going to the local car and truck shows.
His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family especially his beloved granddaughter Cassidy.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Nancy. George is survived by his wife Paula and their sons George LaRue, Jr and Russell LaRue; granddaughter Cassidy; sisters Debra Meyer (Edmond) and Christine LaRue; brother Smith LaRue (Jodie); and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, September 2 from 1pm to 3pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Memorial contributions in memory of George may be made to the Providence Volunteer Fire Department.
