James Hughes

James Hughes, 63, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Born in Schenectady, NY on September 20, 1954, he was the son of William and Doris Roberts Hughes. He was a graduate of the Rome School for the Deaf. He was well known around Saratoga Springs and Mechanicville.

James was a woodworker and craftsman known for his fine detailing in many Saratoga restaurants. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Doris Hughes, and his brother Mark Hughes. James is survived by his brothers Glennan Hughes and Jay Dean Hughes (Heather); sister Rebecca Hughes, nieces and nephews Missy, Robert, Mark, Jason, Kenneth, Amber, Marie and Carrigan; and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

James will be buried with his father in Poultney, Vermont. Memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Jimmy we had so many family memories , all the picnics and parties, you always had away if distancing yourself a lot and we enjoyed the times we got to share with you, but you did like spending time too yourself. When you got sick and Sarah, Tabby and I visited you told us you loved us and you wanted to go home. You are home now Jimmy in a better place free from pain with your mom grandma Dora as Kat called her and Mark I miss them both so much and now ur with your bio dad and you can have that relationship U m sure you missed. Fly high, fly free from pain and feel free your now home. Love you Jimmy !
