James E. Daley


James E. Daley, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021. He was born in Cohoes, NY on January 14, 1928 to H. James and Helen Daley. He served in the US Navy during World War II, and later in the US Navy Reserves and US Army Reserves.

Jim worked for The Galesi Group as officer in charge of corporate data processing for many years. He was a former elected alderman of the Cohoes Common Council, member of the Albany County Democratic Committee and the NYS Democratic Committee. Jim was a member of the Ballston Area Seniors and an avid NY Yankee fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, his beloved wife of 48 years Rose Mary Daley, brother William Daley, and sister Mary Austin. Jim is survived by his children Ann Neville (Donald), Nancy Baron, James Daley, Jr. (Robin), and Michael Daley (Laura); companion Jean Keehan; brother John Daley (Jean); seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, October 7 from 10am to Noon at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at Noon. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Jim may be made to the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard Asssociation, 200 Duell Road-Suite 1, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
