Janice W. Green


Janice Roberta Williams Green left this world to join her beloved husband Don, who she missed terribly, on Wednesday night, October 13, 2021 at The Wesley Nursing Home, with her daughter by her side.

Janice was born on June 11, 1928 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Arthur and Mabel Williams. She was the youngest of three children. On May 28, 1949 Janice married the love of her life Donald Green. Don passed away after 66 years of marriage on August 10, 2015.

Janice worked for 14 years at the Shenedehowa United Methodist Nursery School until her retirement in 1983. Janice loved working with the children. She loved traveling and camping with her husband. She and Don also loved to bowl in mixed leagues. They were members of the Ballston Spa United Methodist Church.

Janice is survived by her son Daniel Green (Christine) of Gansevoort, NY and her daughter Sharon Green-Gras (Jerry) of Shaftsbury, VT. She is also survived by her grandchildren Stacie Grimes (Russ), Jeremy Green (Jessica), Melissa Ives (Ryan), and Ryan Smith (Krystal); great grandchildren Amanda and Shane Grimes, Lauren Guynup, Kevan Clark (Shay), James Cochran, Talia Cochran, Aleena Smith, Logan Smith, Emma Woods, Nadia Cochran, Sadie Smith and Donald Ives; and several nieces and nephews.

Janice was predeceased by her brother Robert Williams and his wife Marie, and her brother Roger Williams and his wife Barbara.

Per Janice’s request there will be no services. She will be laid to rest with her husband at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Janice may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Attn: Processing Center, PO Box 947765, Atlanta, GA 30394.

Janice was a wonderful, kind, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed by all of us.
