Lorraine C. Gorman


Lorraine Carol Gorman 74, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lorraine was born in Ballston Spa, NY on December 19, 1946 to Irving and Lillian (Van Natten) Levine. She graduated from Ballston Spa High School and Spencer Business School. She was a homemaker, caretaker, and the family matriarch. In addition to her children, she was very involved with her grandchildren who knew her as Nana.

Lorraine was a lifetime member of the Malta Ridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed movies, camping, romance novels, and watching the NY Yankees. She also enjoyed traveling, Caribbean cruises, and vacationing in Cape Cod. But most of all, she cherished being with her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, William, her children Kathy Fox (Dick), Joe Gorman (Anne), Stacey Gorman (Kevin) and Jason Gorman (Erin); grandchildren Nicholas, Jack, and Laiken Fox, Wyatt, William, Michael, Maxwell and Ella Gorman; sisters Donna Smith (Bernie), and Jennifer Huskie (Dick); brothers Sam (Lee), Erik (Debby), Gary (Carole), Dave, and Wayne Levine; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10am Thursday, October 28 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Ballston Spa Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, October 27 from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Lorraine may be made to the Malta Ridge United Methodist Church, 729 Malta Avenue Ext, Malta, NY 12020.

The family would like to thank Saratoga Oncology, Community Hospice of Saratoga, Eddy Visiting Nurses, and all her other providers for the care that they have given Lorraine.
