Mary L. Brown

Mary L. Brown, 72, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Born in Albany, NY on February 12, 1945, she was the daughter of Lester and Grace Bashant.

Mary ran her own house cleaning business Quality Cleaners for 25 years, retiring in 2016. She enjoyed bowling, gardening and reading. She liked to watch football and baseball, the Steelers and the Mets were her teams.

She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Hoffman. Mary is survived by her children Mary Reana Earl of Malta, James Brown of Ballston Spa and Timothy Brown (Renee) of Clifton Park; granddaughters Kristina Samek and Rebecca Brown; siblings Lester Bashant (Lorraine), Monica Bashant, Carol McGaughan, Charlie Bashant (Jackie), Elizabeth Bahm (Paul) and Alan Bashant (Julie); and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9:30am Thursday, November 16 at St. Mary’s Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Ballston Spa Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, November 15 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions in memory of Mary may be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation.
