Brant W. Day 49 of Saratoga Springs, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born on April 20, 1963 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Brant worked for State Farm Insurance in Malta for 26 years and most recently at the Clifton Park Post Office.

He enjoyed traveling, hiking and Jeeps. Brant believed in giving back to many and donated to different charities. His greatest joy was spending time and taking care of his family. Brant is a great husband and great family man.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sueko Day aka Obichan, who is always with us in spirit.
Brant is survived by his wife Jessica, his children, CPL Brant K. Day USMC, Dru Day, Griffin Day, Treyvn Day, and Carter Mason Day all of Saratoga Springs, his brother, Steven Day of Rhode Island, two nieces, and his dog Pandora.

Judith Cinquegrano 73 of Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, May 3, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica Sodano. Judy enjoyed crocheting, beadwork and spending time with her family and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Martin Cinquegrano. Judy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Cinquegrano of Ballston Spa, her sister, Carol Hickey (John) of Massapequa, brother, Frank Sodano (Patricia) of New Jersey, two grandchildren, one nephew and several nieces.

Ruth Cleveland Dodds 90 of Round Lake, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Born in Schenectady, May 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Alberta Brundige.

Ruth worked for CSEA in Albany for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She liked to travel and spent many winters in Florida. She was a charter member of the Malta Ambulance Corp. Ruth was an excellent piano player and often played for the residents at Wesley. She enjoyed crosswords and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Cleveland, second husband, William Dodds, two sons, William and David Cleveland, three brothers, Robert, Floyd and William Brundige and her sister, Jane Hickok. Ruth is survived by her children, Robert Cleveland of Saratoga Springs, Roger Cleveland (Linda) of Round Lake, Charles Cleveland (Patty) of Silver Springs, MD, and Charlene Annese (Dominick) of Rochester, her sister, Charlotte Stokna of Johnstown, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Carolee Ann Tanzer 70 of Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. Born in Binghamton, November 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Michael Bachura and Beatrice Getchell. She worked for AT&T as a telephone operator for many years. She was very caring, giving, intelligent, and loving.

Carolee is survived by her children, Michele Tanzer, Charles Tanzer Jr. (Regina), and Michael Tanzer Sr. (Tammy); her grandchildren, Richard Golden Jr., Amanda Tanzer, Amber Ahsmann (Adam), Michael Tanzer Jr., Jessica Bryce, Charles Tanzer III, and Aaron Tanzer; her great grandchildren, Drake and Sophie Tanzer and Gwendolyn Ahsmann; siblings, David Getchell, Diane Dakin, Gary Getchell, Dennis Getchell, and Denise Getchell.

At Carolee’s request there will be no calling hours and services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter because of her love of animals.

Her life touched countless others, she will be missed and she will live on through her sons, daughter, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and those who still love her.

Beverly J. Clairmont 78 of Mechanicville, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Ballston Spa, September 13, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Myron Weaver and Permelia Mundell Weaver Butler. She left school to go to work. She worked in many laundry cleaning businesses over the years. As Beverly put it, she loved to do what most people did not. She loved pressing shirts and pants and took pride in doing it. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and fishing.

She was predeceased by her brother, Jim Weaver, sister, Alice Gray and husband, David J. Clairmont. Beverly is survived by her children, Robert Clairmont (Star) of Greenfield, Deborah Dubray (Mike) of Quaker Springs, Michelle Plummer of Michigan, Davida Scripter (Daniel) of Ballston Spa, Clarice Brill (Ted) of Schuylerville and Leon Clairmont of Peru, NY; her brothers and sisters, Arlene Ward, Merrillyn Capone (Francis), Joan McCarty, Richard Weaver and Keith Weaver (Char), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At Beverly’s request there will be no calling hours and services will be private.

Harold P. (Zeke) Zilka born on November 21, 1938, son of Frank S. and Mary Zilka (deceased) passed away on January 7, 2013. He was the beloved father of Frank S. Zilka II and wife Suzanne and grandchildren, Katie, Andrew and Jon and son Timothy R. Zilka. Zeke enjoyed a close relationship with his in laws, the Mann family, of Queensbury, New York. He was predeceased by his wife, Jane Widmayer Flynn and survived by stepdaughter, Christine Flynn Curran and her husband, Dr. Joshua Curran.

Zeke graduated in 1956 from Johnstown High School where he lettered in five sports per year. Prior to high school graduation, he was offered a scholarship to University of Buffalo for football but chose to attend RIT for baseball and engineering and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.As a starter at RIT in baseball, he drew the attention of major league scouts and received no less than seven opportunities in professional baseball.

In 1960, he married Olivette Bunner Williams, his lifelong friend and mother of their two sons, Frank and Tim. She survives.

His athletic career after college included being an original member in 1962 of the Glove Cities Colonials semi-pro football team. He played semi-pro baseball with the Schenectady Krals through the 60’s and in 1968 he took up the game of golf. His golf career spanned 44 years, having won numerous area golf tournaments. He was a member of Edison Club, Mohawk Club, Glens Falls Country Club and Saratoga National Golf Club. In 1978, Zeke set a modern day course record at the Edison Club. Zeke qualified and played as an amateur in the BC open in Endicott, New York and was low amateur for the tournament. Zeke was an avid skier and a certified member of Professional Ski Instructors of America. He was a member of the West Mountain and Gore Mountain ski schools. Zeke was an avid outdoor sportsman and a member of the Gooley Club since 1962. He received his pilot’s license in 1964.

In 1960, he joined Schenectady Chemical Company and in 1972 he joined Pneutronics Group, Inc. as a Sales Engineer. In 1981, he struck out on his own and incorporated H20 Technology. His sons Frank and Tim Zilka joined their father in 1984 as partners and the three grew the business to a multi-state operation. That business was sold in 1992 to Waste Management. In 1993, he incorporated Tech Services International, a pipeline cleaning and consulting company which he remained active in until the present. He felt that Obama and the present administration were out to destroy small business.

He never missed his sons’ athletic endeavors or granddaughter, Katie’s ski races or lacrosse games or his grandsons’ Andrew and Jon’s football games. He played golf and hunted with his sons and grandsons until he entered the hospital on December 12, 2012.

He touched the lives of many people as an athlete, outdoorsman and entrepreneur. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many including his beloved dogs.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Tuesday, January 15th at 5:00 p.m. at Saratoga National Golf Club, 458 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, New York.

Marjorie Williams Jensen, MD, passed in peace from this world to join Troels, her beloved husband, on January 5, 2013 at her home.

Marjorie was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on August 29, 1925 to Thomas Malcolm Williams and Edna Brumbaugh Williams. She graduated from Lansdale High School as Valedictorian and from Ursinus College as Salutatorian in 1946. During World War II she contributed to the war effort by working in a ball bearing factory, where workers wore straps around their wrists to automatically yank their hands out of the way of the stamping machines so the line could move faster. She earned her Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1950, where she was one of only ten women in her class. She interned at Queen’s Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii, before Hawaii became a state. She began her pathology residency at the Veterans’ Administration hospital in Milwaukee, WI. The family moved to Ballston Spa in 1960. Once her children were in school, she completed her residency and worked as a pathologist in the Ellis Hospital Laboratory until her retirement.

Marjorie met Troels when he kindly offered to help her with a broken suitcase on a train platform in London. They traveled Europe together, and she learned Danish. In 1955 they were married in Gwynedd, PA. She gave birth to a daughter Anne Marie in 1956, a son Peter Christian in 1959, another son John Thomas in 1960 and another son David Andrew Rasmus in 1963. Marjorie and Troels made their home together on Middle Line Road in the Town of Ballston, raising their children and living out their lives in peace. Troels died in 2003.

She is survived by daughter Anne Jensen (Glenn Sheehan) of Barrow, Alaska; sons Peter Jensen of Saratoga Springs, New York; John Jensen and David Jensen of Ballston Spa, New York; and granddaughter Justine Sheehan of Anchorage, Alaska.

Eleanor Lynn Currie of Burtonsville, passed away December 29, 2012. She was born in Amsterdam, NY on March 7, 1936. A strong, driven and amazingly intelligent woman, Eleanor L. Currie, graduated from James Lynch High School, Amsterdam, NY; received her RN from White Plains Hospital School of Nursing, CT; received her Midwifery License to Practice in both Scotland and England; BSN Syracuse University School of Nursing; MSN Russell Sage University, Albany. Eleanor had an extensive career here in the Albany, NY area: teaching nursing, implementing/developing the BOCES LPN Nursing Program in conjunction with St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam; working as an Infection Control Nurse at both Albany Medical Center, Albany and Ellis Hospital, Schenectady and before her retirement with The State of New York Department of Health researching Genetic Disorders.

Daughter of the late W. James Currie and Justina (nee Gotobed) Currie, Eleanor was predeceased by her sister, the Rev. Christine Grimbol. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Eric (Sharon) Brandl, Ballston Spa, NY; Mark Brandl, Webster, NY; and Carl (Debra) Brandl, Sag Harbor, NY; her grandchildren, Benjamin, Lauren, Coleman and Kristin; three brothers, James Currie, Bristol, PA; Tom Currie, Dublin, OH; and David Currie, Cleveland, OH; sister, Susan Currie, Paoli, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held in the Spring 2013. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Her life touched countless others, she will be missed and she will live on through her sons and grandchildren and those who love her still.

Doris Bennette passed away at the age of 85 on January 1, 2013. She was born March 1, 1927 in Ballston Spa, to the late Carl and Edith Hanson. Doris was a graduate of Ballston Spa High School. In 1953, Doris married Richard Bennette of Schenectady.

Doris was a devoted mother and was very involved in her children’s lives. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Den Mother for 10 years. Doris was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed several forms of needlework throughout her life. She was an avid outdoors woman and with her children she enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, photography, and white water rafting. When her children were older, she worked as a nurse’s aide in local nursing homes, a job that she loved through the late 1990’s.

She was predeceased by her son, Edward Bennette, grandson, Ramey Buchholz, brother, Carl Hanson, and sister, Lena Jennings. Doris is survived by her son, Carl Bennette (Nancy) of Queensbury, her daughter, Lorie Menke (Joe) of Loveland, Colorado, grandson, Connor Bennette, granddaughter, Kaseen Buchholz, nephews and nieces, Tom Hanson, Mark Hanson , Annie Hanson and Deborah Goz, and numerous great nephews and nieces.

Blanche Anne Benzal 89 of Ballston Spa, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, after a long illness. She was born in New York City, on December 6, 1923, the eldest daughter of John and Mary Jaworsky of Galway. She was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School.

Blanche was a bookkeeper at the Saratoga County Highway Department for many years, until her retirement in 1985. She very much enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Benzal. Blanche is survived by her daughter, Dr. Eileen Friedman and son-in-law Stan Friedman of Fayetteville, her sisters, Helen Rubinski of Galway and Ann Morris of Scotia, her nephews, Donald Furman of Saratoga Springs and John Furman of New Mexico.

John E. Miller “Jack” 83 of Rock City Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. Born in Saratoga Springs, November 20, 1929, he was the son of the late James and Rachel Miller. Jack worked as a deliveryman for Stewart’s and later was a salesman for Met Life Insurance. He retired from the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department in 1984.

Jack will be remembered for his sharp wit and keen sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Madeleine Nora Miller, and his brother, James “Duke” Miller. Jack is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elinor Evans Miller, his children, Linda Miller of Michigan, Diane Nolan (John) of Malta and John Miller Jr. (Laura) of Rock City Falls, 7 grandchildren, Tina, Chris, Joe, Mark, Jessie, Ian and Savannah, 11 great grandchildren, sister, Carol Potter of Saratoga Springs, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, January 7, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Rock City Falls Cemetery.

Richard S. "Dick" Gubala, 69, of Ballston Spa, NY died peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Amsterdam, NY on April 26, 1943, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Gubala.

Dick served in the U.S. Air Force with the 6981st Security Group in Alaska. He graduated from Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY, and was employed by General Electric for over 25 years. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also loved to travel and listen to music.

Dick is survived by his wife, Melody J. Gubala of Ballston Spa, NY, two daughters, Lori Gubala of NJ and Allison Gubala of Saratoga Springs, NY, and one sister, Mary Anne Zimmer of Berne, NY.

Philip H. Bunting 74 of Middle Grove, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 31, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born in Kingston, NY, July 13, 1938 to Maude and Harold Bunting. Philip was a graduate of the Crane School of Music at Potsdam College with a BA and MA.

Philip began his teaching career in North Colonie Schools then transferred to Ballston Spa Middle School as Department Chairman in the 1970s. During his tenure in Ballston Spa Schools, he was the original musical director of the Troupe, the high school drama group. Phil also led the high school marching band, mentored NYSSMA performances and even led a student jug band. He directed Triune Musicals and the Schenectady Light Opera Company, as well as musicals at Shaker High School and Ballston Spa Middle and High School. Philip continued to perform saxophone and piano after his retirement as a soloist and with friends. He was a composer who wrote for piano, clarinet and flute.

Outside of teaching, he was an avid photographer, as well as a model railroad hobbyist and cyclist. He had his radio operator license and sent Morse code messages across the world as fast as a professional. Philip was a beloved father and grandfather whose love of music and photography was passed on to his family.

Philip is survived by his daughters, Susan Olszewski and her husband Peter of Rock City Falls, and Karen Wolsey of Ballston Spa, his five beloved grandchildren, Danielle Gardner, Jennifer Gardner, Skyler Wolsey, Jesse Wolsey and Noelle Olszewski, brother, Richard Bunting of Bainbridge, NY and three nieces.

Funeral services will be held 10am Saturday, January 5, at Christ Episcopal Church, 15 West High Street, Ballston Spa. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, January 4 from 3-5 and 6-8pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Interment will be private in the Christ Church Columbarium.

Carl A. Baker 72 of Ballston Spa, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012. Born in West Milton, January 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel Baker. Carl was a mechanic for the Ballston Spa Central Schools.

He was predeceased by his brother, Harold Samuel Baker and stepdaughter, Leah Taylor. Carl is survived by his wife, Evelyn Baker, stepchildren, Allen Adams of Ballston Spa and Jill Barnes of South Carolina, brothers, Charles Baker of Ballston Spa, William Baker of Ballston Spa and George Baker of Connecticut and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Powell Wiswall Cemetery in the Spring.

Joyce Hopper 52 of Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012. Born in Schenectady, October 26, 1960, she was the daughter of the late James and Marion Hopper. Joyce worked at the NYS Tree Nursery in Saratoga Springs.

Joyce is survived by her friends, Peter Wilson and Mark Hersh and her classmates from Ballston Spa High School Class of 1979.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, January 4 at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.

Ronald D. Wagner 79 of Ballston Spa, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Born in Troy, January 15, 1933, he was the son of the late Charles and Louise Wagner. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Ron was a chemist and worked for Astro Chemicals in Burnt Hills for over twenty years, retiring in 1997.

Ron was a member of the Ballston Spa Congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He enjoyed camping and winemaking. He was a carpenter and was always working on a project.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Bernard and Charles Wagner. Ron is survived by his wife, Jo-Anne Wagner, his children, Steven Wagner (Brenda) of Gloversville, Tracy Hill (Leslie) of Missouri, Suzanne Hill (Michael) of Mechanicville, and Ronald Wagner, Jr (Dawn) of Ballston Spa, four sisters, Louise Hunter of North Chili, Marjorie Vitale of Alleghany, Barbara Woodworth of Cape Cod and Carol Skarshinski of Defreestville, three brothers, Richard Wagner of Huntsville, Alabama, Paul Wagner of Pittstown and George Wagner of Rensselaer, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas R. Baker 49 of Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. Born in Ballston Spa, September 30, 1963, he was the son of the late Gene and Jean Baker. Tom served in the US Marine Corps. He worked for Ken Merchant Masonry. He enjoyed bullriding and encouraged many young riders. Tom will be remembered for his great sense of humor.

Tom is survived by his wife, Tracie Baker, his daughters, Jaimy Lewis (Jason Greenhalgh) of Ballston Spa, Katelyn Baker of Ballston Spa and Faith Baker of Northville, stepchildren, Emily Stewart of Northville and Martin Stewart of Northville, grandchildren, Landon Ellis and Jaedyn Loria, sisters, Diane Duhame (John Heritage) of Galway and Linda Morrison (Glen) of Argyle, companion, Anita Evans of Ballston Spa and several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn B. D’Ambro 66 of Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012. Born in Ballston Spa, January 24, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette Monaco. Kat was a waitress at JeRon’s Restaurant and Manna’s Restaurant in Ballston Spa for over twenty years. She was an avid Giants and Yankee fan and enjoyed going to the Saratoga Racetrack. Kat was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing for family gatherings.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard and Louis Monaco, and two sisters, Jennie Odorizzo and Sophie Wolfershiem. Kat is survived by her brothers and sisters, Theresa Monaco of Ballston Spa, Anthony Monaco of Amsterdam, James Monaco of Saratoga Springs, Josephine Dufort of Ballston Spa, Joseph Monaco of Ballston Spa, Albert Monaco of Scotia, Harry Monaco of Ballston Spa, Pasquale Monaco of Ballston Spa, Olivio “Tete” Monaco of Ballston Spa, and Donald Monaco of Ballston Spa, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9am Saturday, December 29 at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Robert J. Moore 89 of Malta, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012. Born in Englewood, NJ, March 13, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Catherine Moore. Bob was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp serving in World War II. He was honorably discharged in October of 1945 from Marine Wing Service Squadron Nine, 9th MAW, FMF. Bob participated in the capture and occupation of Saipan, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

He resided in New City, Rockland County from 1953-1991. Bob was a sales representative for Dennison Manufacturing Co in Massachusetts. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of Notre Dame.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Breda, sister, Jean Maetrich and son in law, Frank Zimmerman. Bob is survived by his wife Grace Moore, his daughters, Terry-Ann Zimmerman of Middleton and Kathleen Greco (Glen) of Ballston Spa, son in law, Daryl Breda of Clifton Park, grandchildren, Patrick, Molly, Nicole, Joseph, Daniel, Glen and Alaina, great grandson, Giovanni, sister, Nancy Sonzogni (Charles) of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9:30am Friday, December 28 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Paul Benzal 96 of Ballston Spa passed away Friday, December 21, 2012. Born in New York, NY, March 21, 1916, he was the son of the late Alexander and Barbara Benzal. Paul was a machinist at General Electric Co. in Schenectady, until his retirement. He enjoyed landscaping, fishing, his iceboat (a converted airplane) and home maintenance.

Paul is survived by his wife of 71 years, Blanche Jaworsky Benzal, his daughter, Dr. Eileen Friedman and son in law, Stan Friedman of Fayetteville, NY.

Barbara K. Presler 79 of Saratoga Springs, passed away peacefully Friday, December 21, 2012. Born in Springfield, Vermont, May 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Skill Koledo. Barb was a bookkeeper and secretary at Paddock Pool in Albany, Espey Manufacturing and Guyson Industries in Saratoga Springs.

Barb was a charter member of the Saratoga Springs Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. She and her beloved husband were past Co-Presidents of the Saratoga Springs Junior High School PTA. She enjoyed cooking, reading, playing Chinese checkers and making arts and crafts with her family.

She was predeceased by her brothers, James and Thomas Koledo. Barb is survived by her husband, Lawrence W Presler, her children, Karen Nolan of Saratoga Springs, Ronald Presler (Barb) of Churchville, Bill Presler of Warrensburg and James Presler of Saratoga Springs, grandchildren, Crystal, Kathleen, Bradley, Julie, Michelle, Erica and Gabrielle, great grandchildren, Matthew and Cassie, brothers, Frederic Koledo (Carol), Peter Koledo and Stephen Ankuda (Ellen), sisters, Mary Jane Roberts (Floyd) and Catherine Merrill (Dan) all of Springfield, Vermont, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Olga D. Hagarty 80 of Saratoga Springs, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012. She was born in New York, New York, January 26, 1932. She attended Metropolitan Hospital School of Nursing and Columbia University. She was a Captain in the US Army Nurse Corp and was awarded the National Defense Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. Olga was the school nurse at Galway Central Schools for many years.

Olga was predeceased by her husband Harry F. Hagarty. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

A. Alberta Debuonaventura 85 of Ballston Spa, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2012, surrounded by her daughters. Born in Saratoga Springs, June 17, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary DiVesto. Alberta was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for family gatherings. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a communicant of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa.

She was predeceased by her husband Pio Debuonaventura, and her brothers, Nicholas and Richard DiVesto. Alberta is survived by her daughters, Leonilde Beals (Bill) of Clay, Mary Ann Lawrence of Saratoga Springs, Pia Kellogg (David) of Ballston Spa, Gilda Blair (Bob) of Saratoga Springs and Lisa Kennedy (Don) of Ballston Spa, her grandchildren, Jason, Vincent, Maria, Ann, Elizabeth, Nicholas and Sydney, and great grandchildren, Gabriela, Mason, Luca, Mira, Cooper and Maci.

William C. Le Barron 82 of Hartwell, Georgia, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012. Born in Ballston Spa, May 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Elwin and Mary Jones Le Barron. He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War. Bill was an accountant. He was a member of the North Salem American Legion Post and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hartwell, Georgia.

Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Elsie Marakovitz Le Barron, sister, Jean Atkins, and five brothers, Kenneth, Paul, Ronald, Franklin and Ralph Le Barron. Bill is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Cole and her husband James of Poughkeepsie, three sons, Kenneth Le Barron of Marlboro, Paul Le Barron and his wife Kathleen of North Salem, and Eugene Le Barron and his wife Kari of Elberton, Georgia, his brother, Elwin Le Barron of Hartwell, Georgia, his sister, Patricia Brust of Middle Grove, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Joseph F. Shagalski III 64 of Ballston Spa, passed away after a long illness Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Born in Troy, NY, November 27, 1948 he was the son of Shirley Belcher Shagalski and the late Joseph F. Shagalski, Jr. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Joe was a sheet metal worker for Local 83 in Albany for many years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and was an avid sports card collector. He loved baking and made many specialty cakes for family gatherings.

He was predeceased by his father, Joseph F. Shagalski, Jr and sister, JoAnn Duval. Joe is survived by his wife Marjorie Wilt Shagalski, his children, Renée Tilley-Goyette of Green Island, Melissa Shagalski of Waterford and Brandyn Shagalski of Ballston Spa, three grandchildren, Jesse Tilley, Stephen Goyette, and Anthony Villano, his mother, Shirley Shagalski of Guilderland, sister, Shirley Kelly of Rochester, brother, John Shagalski of Colonie and several nieces and nephews.

Caroline H. St. Onge 94 passed away peacefully Monday, December 10, 2012 at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Facility. Born in Detroit, Michigan, October 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Ryer. She moved to Schenectady and later to Saratoga Springs before her last months at Schuyler Ridge. Carol worked for many years in a Schenectady pharmacy and then served families in the Saratoga region in the care of their homes.

Carol was predeceased by her first husband Freemont Weatherwax, her second husband Paul St. Onge, her grandson Robert Weatherwax Jr, her sister Delphine Bullis, and her beloved sister Isabel Ryer. Carol is survived by her son Robert Weatherwax (JoAnn), her grandson Scott Weatherwax, her great granddaughter Colleen Weatherwax, and her dear friends Vivian and Jim Tortorici.

Mary H. Crawford 90 of Ballston Spa, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012. Born in Milton, NY, May 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel Pettit. Mary worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles for many years. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, Donald “Pop” Crawford. Mary is survived by her children, Sharon Bassett and her husband Robert, and William Crawford and his wife Joyce, grandchildren, Mark Bassett, Deanna Rohloff (Brian), Tammy Townsend (Sean), Scott Crawford (Jennifer), and Dan Palmateer, great grandchildren, Brianna, Niaomi and Milan, sister, Marjorie Palmatier (Harold), brothers, Dale Pettit (Lois) and Kenneth Pettit (Dorothy), and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanette G. Pratt 82 of Ballston Lake, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Born in Berlin, NH, October 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Grace White. She attended Castleton Teachers College and received her bachelor’s degree from the College of St Rose. Jeanette taught first and third grade at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Ballston Spa, until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Jeanette was predeceased by her husband, Earle, son, Daniel, brother, Kenneth White and sister, Mary Jane Barone. She is survived by her children, Stephen Pratt (Laura) of Richmond, VA, David Pratt (Sandy) of Cleveland, GA, Tina McQuiston (William) of Ballston Lake and Michele Lawson (Michael) of Ballston Spa, two brothers, Arthur White of California and Ernest White of Massachusetts, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

William P. Heritage 60 of Ballston Spa, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. Born in Ballston Spa, February 16, 1952, he was the son of Margaret Wojtowecz Heritage and the late William Heritage. He served in the US Marine Corp. Billy worked for General Electric. He later was a self employed contractor and worked for several local contractors. Billy enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his father William J. Heritage and his brother Wayne Heritage. Billy is survived by his wife Brenda, his son, William J. Heritage of Ballston Spa, stepchildren, Lenore Bellinger of Ballston Spa, Jennifer Wachunas of Washington, DC and Nicholas Wachunas of Ballston Spa, grandson, Isaac Wachunas, mother, Margaret Heritage of Ballston Spa, brothers, John Heritage of Galway, and Randy Heritage of Ballston Spa, sisters, Vicki Heritage of Ballston Spa, and Cindy DeLancey of Corinth, and several nieces and nephews.

Lois D. Ramsey 55 of Greenfield Center, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012. Born in Ballston Spa, July 9, 1957, she was the daughter of Wilfred R. Jones and the late Dorothy Knowlton Jones. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Eugenia Ramsey (Rodney Bodenstab) of Greenfield Center, Sherry Harrington (Michael) of Saratoga Springs, two grandchildren, Derek Harrington and Kaitlin Harrington, father, Wilfred Jones of Greenfield Center, two sisters, Marilyn Krutsinger (Brian) of Greenfield Center and Dorothy Turner (Dale) of Orlando, Florida, brother, Donald King of Corinth and several nieces and nephews.
