Pamala Ann Baumgardner

Pamala Ann Baumgardner, 53, left us too soon on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in Florida. Born on August 13, 1967 in Schenectady, NY, she attended Ballston Spa High School. She was a student of life, who worked for many years in the restaurant industry in Saratoga Springs and on the west coast of Florida.

Nothing brought Pamala so much pride as her boys, Johnny and Cory, who learned to revere strong women through their mother. They three of them passed through thick and thin together and shared a code of fierce love and loyalty. Their friends called her "Mama Dukes" and knew her gift for making people feel comfortable, welcome, and seen.

Always an animal lover, her best days were spent among the colors of sunrise, by the eternal sea, biking with her dog, Daisy, with whom she has been reunited along with the many animals, wild and tame, she cared for in her lifetime.

She always did what she could do for those she loved - with an unexpected phone call, the perfect shade of nail polish, or a big trip to the grocery store. When her loved ones were in trouble, she defied any system to stand up and advocate for us. Using her gifts - beauty, a warrior spirit, loyalty, tenacity - Pamala lived on her terms to the end.

She was predeceased by her father John Chojecki. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Chojecki, her sons, John Baumgardner (Kelly Wardell) and Cory Baumgardner, her grandchildren, Brayden and Ava Baumgardner, who brought love and light into her life, even from a distance; her sisters, Mechelle Chojecki (Jill Cowburn), Karan Allrich (Greg), Dana Chojecki; her nieces and nephews, Olivia and Avery Allrich, Jayden and Jaxsyn Chojecki; and her ex-husband, John Baumgardner.

Goodnight. I love you. See you tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

A private memorial service will be held in her honor in the Spring.
