I am going to miss Patty she was a light on my Sunday mornings. It'll be hard looking out to the congregation and not having her watch the choir sing as she smiled from ear to ear.

Blessings to the family..

Our dear friend and surrogate "Mom" Patty LeRoy passed away yesterday at 80 years young. Patty and Scooter were the very first people Glenn introduced me to when I first visited his hometown in 1977. She was quite a special lady and a terrific friend. Patty worked for 50 years for The Fresh Air Fund. We met many of the kids who visited with Fresh Air, and many still kept in touch and visited her as adults. She was also a woman of great faith, and taught Sunday school for many, many years. We were honored to attend Patty and Scooters 50th wedding anniversary, and while we will miss her terribly, it's good to know she and Scooter are together again. Glenn and I hope her family will find comfort in all the good works she accomplished in her lifetime and all the love she generated in her 80 years.

Your cousins,
So sorry to hear the sad news. She was a wonderful woman loved by all and will be greatly missed. We are traveling. Just docked in Thailand. Even if I left immediately we wouldn’t make it in time for her service. She knows how much we love her. We are so thankful for your visit. It was an honor and a pleasure to have her at her house. I prayed for her peace all over Singapore. I never wanted her to suffer. I will pray for her beautiful soul in Temple today in Bangkok tomorrow.

Please know we are with you in spirit and love you all! Cheryl & Tony

The Lord has taken a bright angel this week. May Patty rest in peace and may all that knew and loved her find the time to heal and soon find the time to rejoice in her name knowing that she was a kind, caring person who was loved by many. Much love Mike I will miss you…

Patty was a great person who loved all those who she knew and crossed her path of life. She loved her Savior and and her church! Her presence will be missed, but her life will carry on in the smiles of the fresh air kids and all those young lives who she taught at the church. I will miss you Miss Patty, but I will see you again!

Dear LeRoy family, I am so sorry to have read of the recent death of your loved one Patricia. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be very comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5. These verses tell us that soon Jehovah God through his son Christ Jesus is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones, as well as do away with all the causes we have for suffering including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me when I've lost loved ones and it is my hope that these thoughts will likewise comfort your family also during this most difficult time in your lives. If you would like to read these Scriptures online for free or find more comforting thoughts, please visit Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss.
Sincerely, Trudy Nowell - Panama City Beach, FL
