Ray F. Ward


Ray F. Ward, of Charlton, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Wesley Health Care Center. Born in New Lisbon, November 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Thomas Ward and Annie and William Rogers. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Ray worked for General Electric for 36 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, farming and camping. He also enjoyed motorcycling.

Ray is survived by his wife Lois Ward, 3 sons, Wayne Ward of Broadalbin, Michael Ward of Ballston Spa and Norman Ward of Charlton, brother, Howard Ward of Duanesburg, sister, Marie Ward of Oneonta, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, May 25, from 6-8pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A funeral service will follow at 8pm. A graveside service will be held 11am Thursday at Butternut Valley Brick Schoolhouse Cemetery, Burlington, NY.
