Raymond Anthony Kayser, Jr.


Raymond Anthony Kayser, Jr., “Tony”, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2018 in Niskayuna, NY after a long illness.

Tony was born on November 24, 1950 in Bronxville, NY, the son of Raymond A. and Helenne O’Connor Kayser. He attended Mount St. Michael High School in the Bronx, NY. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy upon graduation from high school and served in Vietnam aboard the USS John R. Craig. For his service, he was awarded the Vietnam service medal with two bronze stars.

He attended SUNY New Paltz, where he met his wife, Patricia A. Cuneo, who predeceased him.

Tony worked at the Community Rehabilitation Center in Lake Katrine, NY as a caregiver to handicapped children and adults with cerebral palsy. He was an avid reader and student of military history.

Tony is survived by his daughter January, and his twin sons Alex and Ian. He is also survived by his sisters Christine Kayser, Tracy Kayser-Messing and his brother Derek Kayser. He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother, Jeffrey B. Kayser.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 3rd from 10am to 11am at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at 11am. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
