I was saddened to learn of Wayne’s passing. I first knew Wayne at Perth Central school and then later at the farmers markets where he always had the best produce. As a board member, he worked to make the markets a success and ensure that the food was always the best quality. Although I haven’t been in touch lately, I’m sad to know he’s no longer with us.

Thanks to all for a lovely tribute to Wayne, my dear friend, Kathy’s husband. My family was fortunate to spend time at that wonderful farm as well and my grown children still have fond, vivid memories. Family did a beautiful job with the speakers today at the funeral that represented Wayne well. I am pleased that I was able to attend and help celebrate the life of a true gentleman, and lover of nature. God Speed dear Wayne and healing thoughts and warm memories to the family.

Wayne and I played basketball together in Perth Central School. I helped him do chores at his father's farm so he could play. We also spent many many hours working on cars. I use to give Shelly horsey back rides when she was a toddler. Although we lost touch over the years, I still have fond memories of him. He was our best man at our wedding.
