Willard L. Armer

Willard L. Armer passed from this life on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the age of 89. Born on December 5, 1931 in the Town of Milton, NY he was the son of Gordon J. and Irene Armer. Willard grew up on a dairy farm in Ballston Spa, where he also attended Burnt Hills Schools. He later joined the United States Army where he served from 1953-1955.

Willard was employed and retired after many years with General Electric Co. He also enjoyed hunting, bowling, golfing, and watching a variety of sports on TV. Willard especially enjoyed spending time with his brothers on the family farm.

He was predeceased by his parents Gordon J. and Irene, brothers Robert and Laurence, brothers in law Fred Tretiak, Richard Hamilton, John Trigg, Don Carpenter and Carl Hatlee, sister Mytle Hamilton, sister in law Gladys Armer and his beloved daughter Terrill Armer Moreau.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Sheila Londerno (Terry) of Louisiana, Arthur Armer (Joyce) of North Carolina, Dennis Armer (Melissa) of Louisiana, Scott Armer (Robyn) of Louisiana and Stan Armer (Debbie) of Missouri. He will be loved and missed by his grandchildren, Chad Mathias, Jason Mathias (Jessica), Jeremy Mathias (Amber), Michael Armer (Andrea), Justin Armer, Delila Vance (Derick), Deanna White (Dylan), Amanda Cetnar, Taylor Breth (Tony), Ashton Miller (Josh), Makaylin McLeod (Kyle) and Sydnee Armer; and step granddaughter Jillian Londerno. Willard also left behind fifteen great grandchildren Taylor Mathias, Gavin Mathias, Austin Mathias, Elizabeth Mathias, Colin Mathias, Kaitlyn Mathias, Lillie Armer, Ella Armer, Aspen Ashcraft, Ava Armer, Caroline Vance, Charlee Armer, Bentley Armer, Bella Miller and Anastyn Armer; four brothers Gordon, Cecil, Del (Lois), and Wallace; six sisters Doris Tretiak, Betty Trigg, Ruth Quinlan (Charles), Alice Carpenter, Ella Laird (Loren) and Laural June Hatlee; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 23 from 10am to Noon at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A service will be held at Noon. Burial will follow in Sweetman Cemetery, Charlton.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks, appreciation and deep gratitude for the many expressions of sympathy, acts of kindness, and consideration during our time of sorrow. We would also like to give a special thanks to all of Willard's caregivers, Hospice Staff and family. A very heartfelt thanks to Med Express Ambulance Co.
