Yvonne V. Canastra

Yvonne V. Canastra “Bonnie”, 67, passed away at her home on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born in Saratoga Springs, NY on July 1, 1953.

Yvonne worked at McDonald’s in Malta for many years. She and her husband Elmer worked together at Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta where she was known to everyone as Snookums.

Yvonne enjoyed going out to eat at her favorite restaurant the Golden Corral. She also enjoyed coloring, puzzles, and traveling. She loved to shop and always was ready to check out any garage sale. Her greatest joy was her grandson Charlie and she treasured the time she spent with him.

She was predeceased by her sister Mary and her niece Glenda. Yvonne is survived by her beloved husband Elmer; her son Joe Tallman and his wife Gwen; grandson Charlie; special niece Anita; and several additional nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a calling hour on Wednesday, January 13 from 4pm to 5pm at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A private service will follow.

Memorial contributions in memory of Yvonne may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter, 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020.
